Efficient Language Coaching Global, Bringing Language Coaching to the World

Over 35 years ago, Rachel Paling started teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults. She later obtained a BA Honours in Law and Spanish (with distinction in spoken Spanish) at the University of Sheffield (UK) and then went on to do a Masters in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA) at the University of Padua, Italy and Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. Rachel continued her studies and qualified as a UK Lawyer in 2003, but instead of pursuing a career as a lawyer, she decided to combine her teaching experience, her specialisation in business English and her legal knowledge to coach top executives across Europe. Later as further development, she became an International Coach Federation PCC Life coach, as well as achieving a Master in Neuroscience and also a Master in Neuropsychology and Neuroeducation.

Efficient Language Coaching Global was founded in 2008, initially as language provider for companies and private individuals mainly in Germany, but also across the world. Later it also developed as a central certification body, with the idea of creating a worldwide network of like-minded language coaches, all with different professional backgrounds, with good teaching qualifications or experience and in addition with the added dimension of coaching qualifications.

The company designed and released the ELC language coaching certification for language teachers programmes in 2012. In August of 2012, a pilot delivered the first ELC certified language coaches in the world. ELC achieved an immensely important milestone in 2013 when it achieved accreditation from the ICF for its Neurolanguage Coaching courses. In 2019, ELC Licensed Teacher Trainers prepared to deliver the certification training in multiple languages. ELC introduced the certification in Spanish, Italian, French, and Czech. The company achieved CPD approval for the Neurolanguage Coaching courses in the UK. In 2020, ELC introduced the certification in Russian, Portuguese, Slovakian, German, Ukranian, and Polish languages in 2020. As of September 2021, more than 1000 Neurolanguage Coaches have taken the ELC course globally.
